HGF Lean Academy

HGF is a knowledge-intensive company active in the specialized field of polymer technology. We work in close relationships with our customers and suppliers to strengthen the supply chain at all stages. Together, we can build the strength that makes us competitive against other supply chains

As a step to further strengthen cooperation, we started the HGF Academy. We believe that increased knowledge in all areas in the fields of materials, technologies and lean production can be a catalyst to reach new heights in the development of existing and new products and the way we work together.

HGF began its focus on lean production in the autumn of 2006 by adapting philosophies, methods and tools for our own activities and creating the HGF Production System HPS. The introduction of HPS was highly methodically and in a short time it has become a great success. This is evident, for example, through improved efficiency rates, lower scrap, improved delivery performance, and above all, a motivated workforce in a workplace that exudes entrepreneurial spirit when it comes to finding new solutions to problems that arise. In October 2009 we were awarded the HPS Halländska Lean Award. The motivation of the jury was as follows:

"With great determination and dedicated staff, the winner of this award is changing from being a conventional production company into a world-class Lean Enterprise. The winner is an example for all SMEs, not only in Halland, but in all of Sweden."

In the autumn of 2011 we were rewarded for our efforts in developing HPS with a silver medal in the Swedish Lean Prize.

When you choose to invest in lean production you embark on an inspiring journey that leads to the creation of a very cost-effective business. Our advice based on our own experience, is:
1. Gain full support for the concept.
2. Obtain expertise within the company
3. Set aside time for implementation.

HGF Academy can help with the first and second points.
